Types of Dedicated Connections
- T1/DS1
- T1s are the standard connection for businesses that rely on Internet connectivity. T1s are a cost-effective way to secure the speed, reliability, and continuous connectivity that your business requires.
- A T-1 is a telecom circuit that delivers a full-duplex 1.5 Mbps (upload and download) connection. If your business requires additional speed, you can build a multi-megabit connection by bonding multiple T1s together allowing you speeds of 3, 4.5, and 6 Mbps.
- T3/DS3
- If you require a multi-megabit dedicated connection that scales easily, consider a T3. A T3 supports full-duplex speeds from 3 Mbps to 45 Mbps. XMission offers flat-rate and burstable bandwidth options on our T3 connections.
- Like T1s, businesses can split T3 connections into individual channels for delivery of voice and data services. T3 can handle bandwidth-intensive technology including large VPN, video applications, or hosted application servers. Businesses with multiple bonded T1s will also find T3s an affordable alternative.
- Optical Ethernet
- If your business requires more bandwidth or multi-carrier flexiblity, please consider Optical Ethernet.
