Re: MtMan-List:CVA

I've been following these CVA Stories with interest. Never owned one
myself as my .54 Lyman Great Plains rifle shoots straight and has held
up very well. A friend however built a CVA rifle kit. Did a mighty
fine job too. he was proud of it and rightly so. But the thing
couldn't hit the same spot twice no matter what he did to it. CVA told
him there might be a barrel problem and asked him to return the whole
rifle for their inspection which he did. They sent him back a new
pre-made by someone else's hands CVA Rifle! My freind was so mad he
called 'em back and demanded they return his original. They apologized
and told him it had unfortunately been "disposed of". To top it off the
new rifle shot worse than the first! We had balls flying all over the
place for no ryhme nor reason. He finally sold it to someone for a
mantle peice and bought a .50 Great Plains which shoots very well.

Just thought I'd pass on the story.
