A few weeks back, Philip Korth was looking for a source for Hafen's 10 vol.
set of books on the Mountain Men and Fur Trade of the Far West.  As I
subscribe to several out-of-print books sellers' catalogs, I can refer you to

 Fax is (415)586-1063.  His latest catalog # 8 included a set (listed as item
72)  He asks $1500.  This is pretty typical of the sets I have seen.  Now and
then a set will appear for $1200.  It is not cheap, for sure.  I tried
collecting the set one volume at a time, thinking it would be much cheaper.
 Found vol. 3 - 9 with little trouble.  Vol. 2 is around but harderto locate.
 Vol. 1 and 10 are virtually immpossible to find outside of a set.  

It would be a major undertaking, but perhaps scanning this valuable resource
into Dean's web page out to be considered once the primary source material is
done.
